01 Episode 1: The Auditions Part 1 Episode 14th September 2004 The judges visit Leeds and London for the first audions round. Amongst the thousands of contestants who tried out were: Retired miner Mario, sisterly duos Sweet Harmony and Gemini, rapper ginger Benjamin (who got on the wrong side of Sharon by insulting her kids!) & 81 year old Reney! 02 Episode 2: The Auditions Part 2 Episode 211th September 2004 The judges visit Newcastle. Two rivalry bands both get through to the next round. A girl tries out with her two best friends, only to be told by Simon that she has to ditch them if she wants to go any further. After a heart-to-heart with her friends, the girl tries out in front of the judges on her own. Louis gets re-acquainted with an old friend. Simon suggests that Louis take her out, then when she turns up for their lunch date with her dog, Louis runs away from Simon and out of the back door. 03 Episode 3: The Auditions Part 3 Episode 318th September 2004 The judges continue to search for people who they think have the X Factor. 04 Episode 4: The Auditions Part 4 Episode 425th September 2004 The judges visit Scotland. The talent is very poor and the success rate of getting through to the next round is very low. The judges aren't very pleased. Sharon, annoyed at Simon, pours two glasses of water over his head. 05 Episode 5: The Auditions Part 5 Episode 52nd October 2004 The judges continue to search for people who they think have the X Factor. 06 Episode 6: The Boot Camp Part 1 Episode 69th October 2004 The judges get together a team to help them mentor their group of hopefuls. 07 Episode 7: The Boot Camp Part 2 Episode 716th October 2004 The judges get together a team to help them mentor their group of hopefuls. 08 Live Show : The final 9 perform Episode 823rd October 2004 09 Live Results : Down to 8 acts Episode 923rd October 2004 10 Live Show : The final 8 perform Episode 1030th October 2004 11 Live Results : Down to 7 acts Episode 1130th October 2004 12 Live Show : the final 7 perform Episode 126th November 2004 13 Live Results : Down to 6 acts Episode 136th November 2004 14 Live Show : the final 6 perform Episode 1413th November 2004 15 Live Results : Down to 5 acts Episode 1513th November 2004 16 Series 1 - Live Show 5 Episode 1620th November 2004 Cassie and Tabby were the final two people left and the judges had to choose between them. Louis and Simon both voted Cassie off. Sharon refused to give a vote. Kate Thornton said that if the votes were tied, then the person who would be kicked out is the person who got the lowest phone votes. Over 2 million people had voted for Cassie and Tabby. 17 Series 1 - Live Show 5 (Result) Episode 1720th November 2004 18 Series 1 - Live Show 6 Episode 1827th November 2004 In this episode, each act performed two songs. On the results show later on, the judges decided which one of the two songs that their act sung earlier, would be singing again to keep them in the show. Rowetta was voted off tonights show. 19 Series 1 - Live Show 6 (Result) Episode 1927th November 2004 20 Series 1 - Live Show 7 Episode 204th December 2004 In this episode, Tabby was voted off the show. Even though he was sad to be going, he was glad that he'd made it this far. G4 and Steve will be going head-to-head in the final next Saturday. 21 Series 1 - Live Show 7 (Result) Episode 214th December 2004 22 The X Factor Final 2004 Episode 2211th December 2004 This is the final.
