Max comes clean to David about the Dowlings' scheme to take over the mountain and struggles to convince him that her feelings for him are genuine. Will's jealousy about Maria and David's prior relationship only pushes her away. Shelly has a difficult time accepting her grandfather's death.

On the Beach

The Carvers are incensed when they learn that not only is Colin Dowling pilfering employees away from their company, but he's also planning the annual "Boundary Days" festival that the Carver patriarch started. To make a statement, David and Will organize an alternate event for the town with a gigantic beach party at the base of the Mountain. Meanwhile, when David stands Max up, she plots revenge; and Shelly's awkward relationship with Sam worsens because of her new friendship with Michael Dowling.
