Alice encourages Charles to demand that Arthur answer allegations of infidelity. Victoria worries about the growing threat of another great war. Charles learns the whole truth and agrees to keep Arthur's secret from everyone.

Phyllis arrives unexpectedly at Larkfield Manor for the family Easter Party and is dismayed to learn that the Cartlands have been invited. Elizabeth and Victoria disagree about Victoria's desire to look more alluring for Peter Cartland. Alice takes notice of Phyllis' drinking. Arthur vetoes Elizabeth's seating arrangement to encourage a relationship between Victoria and Peter. Phyllis can't contain her hostility toward Rosemary.
