For a full postmortem of their performance, the most recently despatched candidate joins Adrian Chiles, comedian Andy Parsons, Sarah Halton, chief executive of Molton Brown, and Jo Elvin, editor of Glamour. 05 Series 4, Episode 5 Episode 522nd April 2009 The week's task of creating a new character and advert for a children's cereal proved crunch time for yet another candidate. They join comedian Jenny Eclair, retail guru Mary Portas, and the Chief Executive of Saatchi and Saatchi Fallon, Robert Senior, to chew over what went wrong. 06 Series 4, Episode 6 Episode 629th April 2009 It is time to meet the candidate who is counting the cost of failure after being tasked with pricing and selling ten disparate items. Comedian Al Murray, Antiques Roadshow expert Hilary Kay and American financial guru Alvin Hall get to the bottom of what went wrong, as well as putting a value on the remaining candidates. 07 Series 4, Episode 7 Episode 76th May 2009 Meet the latest unlucky candidate to fall foul of Sir Alan, by selling themselves short in a task to select and sell new innovative products to retailers. Dissecting this week's Apprentice are comedian Ruby Wax, journalist Mark Frith and millionaire businesswoman Kavita Oberoi. They also place their bets on who could eventually be Sir Alan's Apprentice. 08 Series 4, Episode 8 Episode 813th May 2009 Meet the candidate for whom a task to rebrand Margate proved to be their Waterloo. Delving into what went wrong are broadcaster Clare Balding, comedian Jason Manford and Visit London's marketing director Martine Ainsworth-Wells. They will also be placing their bets on who is on course to win the race to become Sir Alan's Apprentice. 09 Series 4, Episode 9 Episode 920th May 2009 Meet the candidate who, in a task to select products at The Baby Show, fell on the nursery slopes. Counting the cost of what went wrong are comedian Hugh Dennis, singer and performer Michael Ball and the MD of JoJo Maman Bebe, Laura Tenison. 10 Series 4, Episode 10 Episode 1027th May 2009 Meet the candidate who, in a task involving selling products on a TV shopping channel, failed to impress the boss. Counting the cost of what went wrong are Sir Alan's aide Margaret Mountford, comedian Rufus Hound and shopping channel owner Hasfa Abubacker. 11 Series 4, Episode 11 Episode 113rd June 2009 Meet the candidate who was grilled to a crisp by Sir Alan's associates and will rue the day they got so near, yet so far. Getting to the bottom of what went wrong are multi-millionaire businessman James Caan, comedian Jo Brand and columnist Jane Moore. They'll also be revealing who they back to be Sir Alan's next apprentice. The fired candidates also return along with Sir Alan's advisers Nick Hewer and Margaret Mountford to congratulate the successful contestant and recall the show's best and worst moments.
