Vanessa makes a faux pas about Li Yan having to get married quickly because of Eddie, while Meera has decided to take Bhaskar's word for it that there is nothing between Rachelle and him as she prepares for a weekend trip to Bali with Bhaskar.

Chris' revelation not to pursue his honours degree continues to torment Li Yan while his latest venture into investment in the stock market without a proper salary further deepens her woe. Chris also plays the despotism card and reaches out to Xue Ling through Adam for a position in KS Food, and although his interview fails to impress Wafiq, his impromptu sales pitch got him an internship, much to Li Yan's relief and Suzanne's ongoing stupefaction. Meanwhile, Eddie's pimp, Pierre, drops in at the coffee house, which forces him to devises his own subterfuge when he has to hide his escort moonlighting job from the family. Much to the amusement of the Tong family, the resident cook Zul turns into an unlikely celebrity storyteller.
