In Hong Kong, Adam finally reconciles with Michael with help from an unexpected source in Eddie, while Li Yan confronts a long-buried secret from her past after a meeting with a long-lost sister. Meanwhile, Pam and Shruti finally bury the hatchet and become friends. Diana, however, has no such luck as she struggles to cope after her ill-fated meeting with Jay.

Adam and Li Yan return to Singapore without Michael, much to Xue Ling's annoyance. When Adam reveals that he allowed Michael to go backpacking in China, Xue Ling hits the roof. More troubles at the Lims when Jay tries to have dinner with Kwong San and both end of having a big argument over Kwong San being controlling of his life. Chris and Suzanne, together with Sulaiman and Norleena try to set Ben up with a date with Gina. Arjun's relationship with Ann comes to a very abrupt and shocking end when Ann runs away from home, leaving a note saying that she has eloped with someone else
