The Spider Riders finally enter Nuuma and discover the city is completely deserted and the castle is suspended in the sky. Accompanied by Solan, a page of Nuuma Castle, they are taken to the castle and greeted by the beautiful Queen Illuma, who senses something familiar about Corona.

The Invectids have invaded Nuuma Castle with the help of Aqune. Queen Illuma tries to dissuade the Spider Riders from fighting, believing they are too young, but Hunter and the others choose to defend the castle anyways. Stags challenges Hunter again to a duel with the promise that he will be the victor this time.
