Having shown mercy towards a cat a ronin is faced with an unwanted domestic animal. Abandoning the cat in a suitable place is the solution. Ironically, he is coincidentally called upon to come to the defence of the innocent soon enough, which prompts him to rethink his actions and behavior towards the feline.
