Nurse Choate and Betty spar again at the hospital. Rodney fights Kitch and his pal Earl for their part in Norman's trouble. Paul demands that Elliot return Elizabeth's diary so that the guilty party -Leslie Harrington- can be punished at last.

Norman asks Rita out on a date, but she tells him that his family wouldn't approve of her. Betty reveals to Paul that her father will be home for a week, and that he and Leslie Harrington hate one another.
