Rodney and Allison meet for a skiing trip, while Norman laments that he is tired of ""going downhill"". Elliot admits to Leslie's attorney that he has a copy of Elziabeth's diary and can prove she and Leslie were having an affair. Julie and Betty worry about George's trial visit.

Attorney Wainwright suggests Leslie drop the codicil fight since Elliot is in possession of evidence that implicates Leslie in Elizabeth's murder. At the Shoreline Cafe, Rita Jacks and her friend Kitch taunt Norman. Kitch spikes Norman's drink, then threatens Rita who fails to persuade Norman not to drink it. Allison and Rodney's evening at the ski lodge is interrupted by a morose Paul. Leslie warns Constance he'll expose Elliot as Allison's father if Connie doesn't persuade Elliot into not using Elizabeth's diary against him.
