01 Pilot Episode 122nd June 2009 A new girl, Emily Kmetko, comes to train with they veterans at the gym and finds that they are both impressed and threatened by her. 02 Where's Marty Episode 229th June 2009 The exit of Coach Marty and one of "The Rock's" top guns, Lauren, causes chaos at the gym. Prompting Payson, Kaylie and Emily (with Becca in tow) to head for Denver with a plan to confront them about their defection. All of this happens at the same time as the Cruz's (Ronnie and Alex) invite everyone to the mansion for a meeting. Meanwhile, Lauren is less than pleased at the cool greeting she receives at the new gym. And shocked by the discovery that she makes concerning her father and his 'Personal Assistant', Summer. 03 Blowing Off Steam Episode 36th July 2009 Tensions are still high at The Rock as the girls continue on without direction and with the surprise return of Lauren, Steve and a possible new heavyweight coach. Before the new coach's strict workout regimen takes effect, Emily, Payson and Kaylie decide to hit up a high school party to blow off some steam. Once at the party, Emily has an uncomfortable run-in with Razor, Kaylie has a fight with Carter after he realizes she lied to him, and Payson can't believe she's wasting her time at such a trivial event. Bringing more stress than fun to their lives, it's not exactly how the girls envisioned their evening. Meanwhile, Lauren's birthday takes a wrong turn when Summer shows up at her birthday dinner. 04 Sunday, Bloody Sasha, Sunday Episode 413th July 2009 After busting them for going to the party, Sasha puts the girls through a rigorous day of training and team building. 05 Like Mother, Like Daughter, Like Supermodel Episode 520th July 2009 With a lack of funds facing The Rock team for Nationals, Kim and the other mothers decide to host a mother-daughter fashion show. But what starts as a fun idea ends up causing trouble for everyone. Ronnie is so busy with the details that Kaylie feels ignored, especially at a time when she could really use her mother’s advice about love and sex. With her mother out of the country, Lauren is paired up with Summer, much to her chagrin, but tries to use this opportunity to catch Carter’s eye. Furious at Chloe for spilling secrets to Damon, Emily is mortified for her “out there” mother to even be at the gym, let alone to walk a runway with her, while Payson, not wanting to waste time with “girlie things,” tips off Kim that maybe she hasn’t been a great role model in the feminine world. Will all the mother-daughter teams get it together in order to raise the money, or will the whole show become a nightmare that puts everyone at each other’s throats? Meanwhile, after spotting her with Carter, Summer gets the feeling that Lauren is over her head in the boy department and tries to help by opening up. 06 Between a Rock and a Hard Place Episode 627th July 2009 Taking a gamble that the girls are ready and can use the motivation for Nationals, Sasha invites Marty and the Denver team to The Rock for an invitational meet. Payson is determined to show that she is the best, but when an old injury flares up, it might have devastating results. Emily is also resolved to show what she can do, but Sasha has other, less advanced plans for her. But with reigning Nationals champion Kelly Parker (guest star Nicole Anderson, “JONAS”) in tow, are the girls really ready for the Denver gym and this challenge? Meanwhile, Carter has to rethink his relationship with Kaylie when Sasha and Lauren give him an ultimatum. 07 Run, Emily, Run Episode 73rd August 2009 The Rock is gearing up for Nationals, and with that comes more pressure, while Emily has to deal with the consequences of her actions. 08 All's Fair in Love, War and Gymnastics Episode 810th August 2009 With everyone gearing up for Nationals, the pressure is on at The Rock. To celebrate, the Cruz family is hosting the Nationals send-off party where, it turns out, everyone has his/her own agenda. Still dealing with her back pain, Payson decides to take a fellow gymnast up on his offer for some anti-inflammatory medicine behind her Mom's back. Summer plays a new card in her relationship with Lauren to see if she could finally turn things around. Lauren, on the other hand, has decided to make her final move to break up Carter and Kaylie for good, with explosive results. But with all the drama going down at the party, what should be a fun event turns out to be something very different. 09 Where's Kaylie Episode 917th August 2009 When Carter comes clean about his infidelity Kaylie takes off the night before leaving for Nationals, and the girls must track her down before it's too late. 10 All That Glitters Episode 1024th August 2009 The National Gymnastics Championship in Boston has arrived and now everything the girls of the Rock have been working for is at stake. Can Emily pull it together on the biggest stage of her life? Can Lauren put aside her anger towards...everyone and pull off a gold medal winning meet. Can Payson get past the back pain and finally beat Kelly Parker on the National stage? Find out in the Mid-Season finale. 11 The Eleventh Hour Episode 114th January 2010 Kaylie faces the challenges of being a national champion; Payson tries to come to terms with her injury. 12 Follow The Leader Episode 1211th January 2010 The girls devise a plan to get Marty fired; Sasha attempts to find a place for Payson at the gym. 13 California Girls Episode 1318th January 2010 Kaylie and Nicky pose for a spread in the Seventeen magazine. They're billed as the golden couple, but there's definitely tension on set. 14 Are We Having Fun Yet? Episode 1425th January 2010 Payson's life is about to get a bit harder when she has to become a regular high school student after being home schooled all her life. With the chaos at school, Payson feels more like a loser than ever and she becomes the new target for the school queen bee. Things get even worse when Kaylie, Emily and Lauren show up to see her. But when she meets a fellow loner Ike, things start getting better. Is Payson going to survive High School? Meanwhile, Sasha tries to make the annual Open House a fun activity. When he pairs Kaylie and Nicky for a special performance, the fun is over for the two of them. 15 Loves Me, Loves Me Not Episode 151st February 2010 Valentine's Day is just around the corner and whether they like it or not, the girls have to face the ones they love. Payson receives flowers and chocolates from her new friend at school, which prompts The Rock parents to over-analyze the situation. Meanwhile, Summer and Sasha share a "moment" of their own. 16 Save the Last Dance Episode 168th February 2010 The girls all attend the prom at Payson's school, and Emily unexpectedly sees Damon there. Meanwhile, Lauren discovers that her dad is dating Chloe; Carter tries to reconnect with Kaylie; and a doctor suggests an experimental procedure for Payson's back. 17 Hope and Faith Episode 1715th February 2010 Emily finds out that her mother is dating Steve after Lauren confronts Chloe. Meanwhile, Payson has an appointment with a top-ranked back surgeon; and the National Team must prove their worth and step up their game. 18 The Great Wall Episode 1822nd February 2010 The girls raise the bar with their training in preparation for a competition against the Chinese team, but troubles at home and confidence issues plague them. Meanwhile, the moms hold a fund-raiser to cover the Chinese team's travel expenses. 19 The Only Thing We Have To Fear Episode 191st March 2010 The Girls get ready for China. While the mothers help out making the girls feel welcome when they go, Damon and Emily confess their feelings toward each other, which makes Razor feel even worse, and Lauren tries to convince her Dad to break up with Chloe. 20 Are We Family? Episode 208th March 2010 In the season finale, everything is put on the line as the girls go up against the Chinese team to prove once and for all that they're the best.
