Osman Bey escapes execution at the last moment, but the Kayı tribe faces a life-or-death struggle due to the Mongol-Byzantine alliance and Ilbay's betrayal. Ulugan decides to execute Osman Bey in front of the Kayı tribe but changes his mind and takes him on a dangerous journey instead. Osman Bey escapes with Poena, who reminds him of Halime. Bala Hatun, Orhan, and Alaeddin plan to save Osman Bey but fall into a trap set by Sofia, Lucas, and the nokers. Osman Bey, Bala Hatun, and Poena are trapped on the edge of a cliff, where Poena takes a big hit during their fight with Lucas and the nokers.
