The kitchen handover brings more than just construction stress: the atmosphere changes. While it normally revolves mainly around tasks and deadlines, clear factions are forming within the group. Construction supervisor Heiko lashes out at Marloes and Patrick during the handover. Dennis tries to smooth things over, but without success. There is less and less filtering among them: they openly complain and judge each other's work. Yet, there are actually several strong kitchens at the handover, which makes the jury's choice difficult.

The aftermath of the kitchen delivery causes division: while Jacky and Menno are still euphoric, disappointment prevails for Steffie and Gregor. Marloes and Patrick are furious and confront jury member Heiko, who they believe has crossed the line. Meanwhile, the rivalry between the camps intensifies when it emerges that building regulations have been violated and they secretly filmed each other. During the joint lunch, things explode: accusations fly across the table, old frustrations flare up, and the atmosphere changes completely.
