Therefore, they sound the alarm to steer the renovation in the right direction, but it may be too late. The work van heads into town again, allowing the couples to gather extra construction budget. Although Sonja and Hendrik's job seems a bit too ambitious. Steffie and Gregor are not making themselves popular with their decision to stop contributing to the waste container.

Frustrations mount when the key to the bike shed goes missing and several couples get stuck in their schedules. Meanwhile, the argument between Sonja and Steffie over the shared container reaches a climax when Steffie goes her own way. The couples are past the halfway point, so Dennis drops by with a surprise and there seems to be a brief moment of calm, but this is short-lived. With the kitchens on the horizon, everyone has to get back to work. As debris is cleared everywhere, it becomes apparent once again how quickly small frustrations can escalate into major conflicts.
