Long after Sam first came to Mon's rescue when they were kids, Sam is unambiguously Mon's idol. In order to be near her, Mon gets a job working under her. When they finally meet again at the office, Mon is surprised by her icy exterior, so different from the image she'd had of her and what she herself wants to be. Mon and Sam aren't just different in demeanour; they stand apart in class and between them is a gap of eight years.

Mon forces Sam to reconcile in which the relationship between the two starts to develop further beyond friendship. However, the strange apology has also caused Sam and Mon to have a rift. They meet the resort owners, Cher and Risa, a lesbian couple who had ran away from their previous life to be together. But it doesn't stop Sam to keep a hold of their relationship after more of her past is uncovered. 12 Episode 12 still Episode 12 Episode 1210th February 2023 Sam's traumatic past is finally unveiled and which Mon discovers. Sam is forced to make a choice between her family or the girl she loves, but Mon makes a decision before Sam can choose. Sam's grandma also faces a difficult decision.
