Julia is involved in arranging a party for a friend who has beaten cancer, but she is distrustful of her husband, who has been a philanderer in the past, and is concerned for her friend's future. Archie confronts Kirsten about her involvement in the demonstrations against the "Tralawney Wells" drug trials. Ruth and Michelle are back from their winter holiday, but their relaxed demeanour is soon quashed when Michelle reveals a shocking discovery about Ruth.
