01 Everyone's Replaceable Episode 110th January 2012 Abby holds an open audition for her dance group; Holly's career schedule forces her to miss Nia's rehearsals and competitions; Abby must come to terms with Chloe's growing success. 02 Return of the Candy Apples Episode 217th January 2012 Abby's dancers compete against Cathy's Candy Apples but Cathy sets a trap for the moms by inviting them to an anonymous cocktail party. 03 Brooke's Turning Point Episode 324th January 2012 Brooke tries out for cheerleading leaving Abby and the other dancers in the lurch the day before a big competition. Their group dance "Born to Dance" places 1st. 04 No One Likes A Bully Episode 431st January 2012 Abby choreographs a bully-themed dance; Abby replaces Brooke with Payton. Abby puts Jill, Kendall, Leslie, and Payton all on probation as they batttle for the one spot on ALDC. Payton ruined her chances with staying on their dance team by making a rude comment to the group stating that she is better than all the other dancers because she is the oldest. Jill doesn't think Payton should be on the team because she is too tall and stands out from the other girls. Their group dance "What Comes Around" places 1st in the age group but it is not seen on the show. 05 Brooke's Back Episode 57th February 2012 Brooke's return leaves no room for Payton. Abby announces Kendall is off probation, but Jill gets put on. The group dance "Avalanche" places 2nd overall. 06 Jill on the Rampage Episode 614th February 2012 Abby puts the moms in charge of making the girls costumes for the competition. Meanwhile, Dance Explosion is canceled so Abby finds another competition, in Texas. Jill turns out to have bought an expensive dance outfit for Kendall, leading to a conflict with Abby. Maddie is injured in a fall while performing and has to be carried off the floor. 07 Bullets and Ballet Episode 721st February 2012 The moms go ballistic when Abby choreographs a flashy number complete with guns. Maddie finds herself at the bottom of the pyramid is determined to dance her way back on top. 08 The Runaway Mom Episode 828th February 2012 After Kendall is put back on probation, Jill has had enough and decides to take Kendall to dance for Candy Apple’s Dance Center. Abby finds out when she runs into the Candy Apple’s dance team during this week’s competition. Holly leaves the competition early. 09 Topless Showgirls Episode 96th March 2012 The Dance moms think Abby has pushed the envelope too far when she creates a dance number where the girls are made to appear nude. Cathy offers Chloe a chance to be in a commercial for her husband's beef jerky business. This episode also known as "Costume Drama" and "Fanning the Flames" and was pulled by Lifetime due to controversy. 10 Miami Heat Wave Episode 1013th March 2012 The dance company heads for the steamy climes of South Beach; the mothers scramble when Paige's foot surgery creates an open position. 11 Melissa Pleads the 5th Episode 1120th March 2012 Christi and Kelly continue to meddle in Melissa's private life; Abby choreographs a number to bring awareness to the plight of the homeless; Holly takes a leave of absence from her job. 12 Waiting for Joffrey Episode 1227th March 2012 The dance company is on edge after learning that a scout will be attending the upcoming competition; Abby pits the girls against each other by creating two trios; Nia pushes herself too hard. 13 Abbygeddon Episode 133rd April 2012 Abby's dancers compete in the regionals for a scholarship with the Joffrey Ballet School. Unfortunately for her, the Candy Apples also compete 14 The Battle Begins Episode 145th June 2012 With Maddie out until she regains confidence, the fate of Abby Lee Dance Company lies in Chloe's hands. Meanwhile, the mothers begin to lose trust in Abby's choreography. 15 Night of the Living Dancers Episode 1512th June 2012 Kelly makes a drastic decision moments before her daughters take the stage; Maddie struggles to find confidence; Holly tries to create elaborate costumes for a group number. 16 I Know What You Did Last Competition Episode 1619th June 2012 Melissa faces a cheating scandal. Kelly's daughters are put on probation. Payton rejoins the competition team causing tension among the Dance Moms. 17 Maddie Has A Secret Episode 1726th June 2012 The 25th anniversary of Star Power is so big there are two competition venues filled with dancers. 18 How Do You Like Them Apples? Episode 1810th July 2012 After their humiliating loss to Candy Apple’s Dance Center, ALDC prepares to beat them once and for all. Kelly secretly re-choreographs Paige’s solo after finding it has little technique and doesn’t showcase her ability. Chloe rehearses a solo called "Angry Bird". At the competition, Paige finds herself pitted against Kendall. Luckily, Kendall’s solo is a mess and while Paige places seventh, Kendall does not place at all. Chloe places sixth. The group routine "Land Unforgiving" places fifth, but Abby is happy as they still defeated CADC. Jill gets into an argument with Cathy and decides that Candy Apple’s isn’t the place for her. 19 Worst Birthday Party Ever! Episode 1917th July 2012 Dance Mom Leslie is back and will stop at nothing until her daughter gets a solo. Kelly's birthday party is a disaster when a big dance moms fight breaks out. Abby arranges for her girls to audition for the hit TV show Drop Dead Diva. For the first time, Brooke faces some tough competition from one of her own teammates. 20 Guess Who's Back Episode 2024th July 2012 Everyone is completely shocked when Jill and Kendall come crawling back to the Abby Lee Dance Company. Jealousy rears its ugly head when the moms learn that Maddie lands the coveted acting role on "Drop Dead Diva." Meanwhile, though Nia wows the crowd with another solo, Paige s dance future is threatened by a serious injury. 21 Break A Leg Episode 217th August 2012 With Paige out with a broken foot, Jill seizes the opportunity and spins into hyper-Dance-Mom-mode trying to get Kendall to replace Paige in this week's numbers. Meanwhile, Maddie leaves dance rehearsals to shoot her big guest role on "Drop Dead Diva." With one child already out with a broken foot, the bad news is compounded when Kelly learns that now Brooke has back pain. 22 Revenge of the Candy Apples Episode 2214th August 2012 When Cathy learns her Dance Mom Jill and daughter Kendal have gone back to the Abby Lee Dance Company, she plots her revenge at the next competition. After Abby discovers that Cathy s dancers will be there, she asks Maddie to do a solo, but Maddie turns down the opportunity when Melissa says "no" to the last minute addition. Now the pressure to win the solo category falls completely on Chloe. Meanwhile, Melissa battles the other dance moms over the theme of this week's group dance. 23 The Recital to End All Recitals Episode 2321st August 2012 Abby s annual recital for the Abby Lee Dance Company shakes up the studio and the dance moms when she assigns a style of dance they have never done before. Potential disaster then arrives when Cathy and her Candy Apples crash the recital. 24 New Girl In Town Episode 2428th August 2012 Paige is allowed to dance again after her foot is healed. New girl Nicaya and her mother join the team, creating competition between her and Paige for a position in the group number. Meanwhile, Nia and Chloe's solos place very poorly, although the group dance places first. 25 Solo Fever Episode 254th September 2012 With Nationals next week, Abby must decide who will be dancing. To help make her decision, Abby assigns each girl, except Maddie, a solo and warns that she will be watching their performance like a hawk. After several weeks of not being in the spotlight, Maddie must prove to Abby that she still has the ambition to take on a solo. Also Paige s injured foot could cost her a spot at Nationals. Meanwhile, the dance moms take advantage of being in California this week. Melissa tries to sign her daughters with an agency and Kelly helps Brooke with her singing career. 26 Nationals 90210 Episode 2611th September 2012 The Abby Lee Dance Company battling for a National title, this time in glamorous Beverly Hills. Cathy and her Candy Apples follow Abby all the way to the 90210, where the girls will have another shot at beating Justice and Vivi-Anne. The entire team is thrown into a tailspin when Abby forces Chloe, Kendall and Nia to compete for one solo spot. When Abby casts Paige as a human prop in the group dance, Kelly breaks down and questions her place at the Abby Lee Dance Company.
