01 The Birth of Astro Boy Episode 11st January 1963 Dr. Tenma, Director General of the Science Ministry, loses his son Tobio in an accident. He decides to create the robot Astro Boy, who looks just like Tobio, using the best of the Science Ministry's technology. 02 Colosso Episode 28th January 1963 It is the year 2000 and robots have been put in charge of making other robots when there are no longer enough people to do the work. Astro Boy dreams of having a real mother, just like human boys. The robot workers are making an experimental new robot named Colosso who goes berserk and escapes shortly after coming to life. The only hope is for Astro Boy to stop him before he cause too much trouble. (In the original Japanese version, Colosso was named "Frankenstein") 03 Expedition to Mars Episode 315th January 1963 Astroboy is selected to lead a search party to find the survivors of the first manned expedition to Mars. This meets strong objection from the spaceship's captain, who protests taking orders from a robot. 04 One Million Mammoth Snails Episode 422nd January 1963 Professor Nutty Fruitcake grows giant fruits and vegetables. One day he breeds giant snails thinking they would be harmless, one million snails to be exact. The snails fill the mountain side and overflow into cities. 05 The Sphinx Episode 529th January 1963 Astroboy wakes up in the middle of the desert, nearly drained of power and unable to remember how he got there. He is helped by Ali Baba, but in return Astro must battle 'The Sphinx'. This is not a real sphinx, but a robot which guards a desert tomb. 06 Zero, the Invisible Robot Episode 65th February 1963 Zero Robot, a blend of Etheric Resin with Clear Plastic, can only be seen with polarized light. Fearless Fred Fenk uses Zero for robbery. Astro Boy once again battles another robot. Defeating Zero at a cost, Astro reassess his role in fighting villians. 07 Captain Atom Episode 712th February 1963 Alien resembling aliens including the doctor of Ochanomizu and Higeyajiji emigrated from the stars that looked like the earth in emergency. However, the food crisis and humankind will begin attacking the aliens with cell shrink solution. 08 The Spirit Machine Episode 819th February 1963 In a land called Shangri-Lee a dictator rose to power. Known to his enemies as the Mad Hatter he trusted no one. To solve this need to do everything himself he captured Dr Elefun. Dr Elefun was to make duplicates of the Mad Hatter. Astro Boy rescues Dr Elefun and the Spirit Machine is destroyed. 09 The Deep Freeze Episode 926th February 1963 Crime knows no boundaries - not even the North Pole! Sharkey Dirk and his gang of cut-throats had become the Scourge of the Arctic! An avowed robot-hater, Sharkey foraged far and wide destroying every machine in his path. His hideout was a secret den situated right at the Pole (who would think to look for him there?) 10 Strange Voyage Episode 105th March 1963 'Lucky' Louie the Lug has slipped by the police at a space port and boarded the first commercial flight to the Moon. Astroboy pursues him seeking to recover stolen diamonds, but the liftoff is underway before he can apprehend the criminal. When meteors collide with the ship, Astro escapes in a damaged space raft with Louie, a little girl named Marvel, Radio Announcer 'Stark' Raving, socialite Mona Toujour and crooked insurance magnate 'Rocco' Gibraltor. They land on a strange asteroid which is a frozen vacuum by night, but has breathable air by day. 11 Time Machine Episode 1112th February 1963 One day, excitable Mr. Pompous was relaxing at home when suddenly a mysterious ship crashed through his front door. Clearly the ship was something from the future. 12 Cross Island Episode 1219th March 1963 After Dr I.M. Sinister and his 2 henchmen 'Red' and 'Mouse' escape from Sing Song Prison, they hide at the mining colony of Cross Island disguised as robots. The gang overpowers Dr Elefun, who is repairing the robot miners. As chance has it, one boy robot on the island was built by Dr Sinister. While holding Elefun at gunpoint, Sinister demands not only HIS robot but the use of parts from Astroboy, so he can build a super-robot capable of changing into an array of animals. 13 The Eyes of Christ Episode 1326th March 1963 That priest was dying carving a single mark on the eyes of Christ decorated in the church. Apparently it seems to be a clue to teach the identity of the pirate who broke into the church. The same pirate begins to aim for beard hair that knew their secret. 14 The Artificial Sun Episode 142nd April 1963 Film producer Elia Belial plans to ruin Earth using an artificial sun. 15 Grass Boy Episode 159th April 1963 Astro runs into two of his friends and stumbles upon an interesting flower. While Astro's friends want to pick it, Astro says to leave the flower alone. He then proceeds to tell the tale of this bizarre flower. 16 Silver Comet Episode 1616th April 1963 Young Koichi (Tommy Speed) prepares to enter a world race with his supersonic car, the Silver Comet. 17 Hullabaloo Land Episode 1723rd April 1963 Saturn (Baron Von Hoodwink), an evil robot kidnaps Princess Odette (Princess Lollipop), a robot swan who can turn back into her normal self when everyone's asleep. She runs away from Hullabaloo Land as Astro comes to her aid. 18 Gangor the Monster Episode 1830th April 1963 A robot centipede disguised as 47 wrestling robots causes havoc on a ship and in the ocean. 19 The Cosmic Giant Episode 197th May 1963 Garon, a giant cosmic robot lands on Earth as a meteor, then Astro Boy and the scientists reconstruct him. During a thunderstorm, Garon revives. A corrupt scientist tells Garon to reconstruct an island in the image of his home planet, also changing the atmosphere to match that of the planet, which is toxic to life on Earth. 20 Toxor, the Mist Man Episode 2014th May 1963 Astronauts report seeing fireflies in space, but they are really gaseous beings led by the evil Toxor. 21 Satellite R-45 Episode 2121st May 1963 At the large space station Satellite R-45, Astro Boy discovers a pair of souvenir vendors hawking stolen wares. 22 Sea Serpent Isle Episode 2228th May 1963 At a beach Astro Boy spots a mysterious bottle with a note calling for rescue from an uncharted island called Sea Serpent Isle. 23 The Deadly Flies Episode 234th June 1963 A mysterious epidemic causes people to drop into comas. 24 Kingdom of the Sea Episode 2411th June 1963 A strange robot demands that Astro Boy and Professor Ochanomizu accompany him to an unknown kingdom at the bottom of the sea. 25 The Deep-Underground Tank Episode 2518th June 1963 Together with Dr. Jordan who ran away from under the president who plots world conquest, Atom who got into the underground tank fights the president. But the underground tank loses control and starts pushing towards the volcano. 26 Don Tay's Infernal Machine Episode 2625th June 1963 An evil scientist who hates civilization named Dr. Ram (Don Tay) invents a robot called Atlas to destroy a village. 27 Pearl People Episode 272nd July 1963 Time after time, mysterious forces destroy the huge underwater dam being built by the Institute of Science. 28 The Wacky Machine Episode 289th July 1963 Dr. Fooler (Dr. I.Q. Plenty) pitches to some plant owners a machine that makes troublesome robots wacky and therefore harmless. The plant owners accept, and the device affects every robot in the city including Astro Boy. 29 Memory Day Episode 2916th July 1963 Once a year, the citizens of Earth celebrate Memory Day and honor the memories of family members who have traveled far into the universe. 30 Secret Agent 3-Z Episode 3023rd July 1963 A president fears for his life, as the presidents of several other countries have all been attacked by Führer ZZZ (Secret Agent 3-Z). 31 Mysterious Cosmic Rays Episode 3130th July 1963 A monster appears in the city, and it turns out to be Dr. Dorian, who has been exiled to Mars. He turns into a monster because he cannot get cosmic X-rays on the Earth. 32 Hot Dog Corps Episode 326th August 1963 Dogs transplanted their brains to the robot are remodeled by Dr. Ponkotsu and challenge humanity as a hot dog corps. 33 The Three Magicians Episode 3313th August 1963 Kino (Abracadabra), a robot magician is approached by a strange magician named Tenpercent, who later frames him for stealing art paintings from a museum. With Astro's help Kino must provide the evidence that he was framed. 34 Beast From 20,000 Fathoms Episode 3420th August 1963 The civilized world is shocked to hear of the sighting of a horrific monster. 35 Planet X Episode 3527th August 1963 Astro Boy sets out on a rocket to rescue people who have been kidnapped for use as livestock on a planet. 36 The Elixir of Life Episode 363rd September 1963 The religious group Pui Pui is looking for a wonder drug that will give them immortality. Dr. Tatsuji, who has succeeded in developing such a drug, is taken away by the religious group. So Astro Boy fights them to ensure the peaceful use of the drug. 37 The Strange Birthday Present Episode 3710th September 1963 On his birthday, Astro Boy receives a little sister, Uran. 38 The Disturbed Small Planet Episode 3817th September 1963 The small planet Mezusa goes out of its orbit and heads straight to the Earth. To save Earth from a collision with the planet, Astro Boy heads for the planet with a convict who is a bomb professional. 39 The Mysterious Cat Episode 3924th September 1963 Dr. Shisoku despairs of human beings that continue the ongoing destruction of nature, and makes animals attack cities in a machine that hypnotizes with ultra short waves. 40 The Abominable Snowman Episode 401st October 1963 Sam Caesar, a mad scientist hopes to create a new Roman Empire. 41 Deadline to Danger Episode 418th October 1963 X Bomb, which is capable of turning any substance to water, drops into the Pacific Ocean. There are 50 hours left until the explosion. Astro Boy goes to recollect it, but learns that Uran, who has followed him, has been swallowed along with the bomb by a whale. 42 The Yellow Horse Episode 4215th October 1963 Disguising himself, as a human boy, Astro Boy goes undercover to investigate a drug trade. Some criminals have developed a drug called Yellow Horse, when injected it causes people to dance and make people want more. Professor Ochanomizu has been captured by the drug ring and injected. They try to blackmail him into helping them produce and distribute the drug in exchange for another shot. But Astro is able to pose as a Yellow Horse addict thanks to an artificial skin that makes it look like he is injecting it into himself. He tracks down the headquarters and leads the police to arrest them all. The Professor goes to rehab along with all the addicts for detoxification. 43 Ditto Episode 4322nd October 1963 President Ditto (President Rag) is the first robot to lead a nation. His creator Deadcross kidnaps him, and Astro Boy must expose his plot. 44 Cleopatra's Heart Episode 4429th October 1963 Uran is kidnapped and made a hostage in an operation to steal Cleopatra's necklace from Astro Boy. The conspirators believes that whoever possesses the necklace can build the greatest empire in the world. 45 Return of Cleopatra Episode 455th November 1963 The gang of conspirators obtains the coveted necklace, and at last sets about conquering the world. Astro Boy stands in the way of their boss, Cleopatra. 46 The Phantom Space Ship Episode 4612th November 1963 The robot spaceship Lever Robot is stolen. Astro Boy is sent to retrieve it, but in the process has his energy stolen. 47 The Gigantic Space Crab Episode 4719th November 1963 Astro must destroy a Cosmic Crab (Space Crab) from space. 48 The Great Space Horse Episode 4826th November 1963 Nuu, member of the Tenma Tribe, comes from the depths of the mountains of Mongolia. Astro flies up to stop the wave, but crashes into the sea. Then an escapee robot Boggy saves the unconscious Astro. 66 Vikings Episode 664th April 1964 In order to rid the earth of space pirates, Astro destroys their mother ship. The pirates, however, are holding some hostages and demand that he withdraw. 67 The Devil Doll Episode 6711th April 1964 While playing in the toy section, Uran imbues some toys with artificial intelligence. Among these are some with evil hearts. The bird Garuda demands Astro as a sacrifice. 84 Dolphins in Distress Episode 8429th August 1964 Claiming to possess the ocean floor, Hall tries to build an autocratic submarine civilization. He starts to persecute the Dolphins. Astro stands up to preserve the peace on the ocean floor. 85 The Mad Beltway Episode 855th September 1964 One of the latest means of traffic, the Beltway, is almost complete. However, someone tries to obstruct its construction, setting the site aflame. Astro sets off to protect the Beltway. 86 The Terrible Time Gun Episode 8612th September 1964 Dr. Tempo is waiting for a chance to become the next director of the Science Ministry. The star nymph is in fact a princess of the Planet Keios. After they hear a voice from within the pilot's body, Astro and Higeoyaji are reduced to tiny figures, and get into the body. Inside, they see bacteria-sized aliens. 89 Horrible King Horrid Episode 893rd October 1964 Dr. Ochanomizu accepts a request to repair robots in the Scambo Empire. The robot he repairs however turns out to be the president of the Empire. The doctor's life is in danger, as he now knows the secret. 90 Mystery of the Amless Dam Episode 9010th October 1964 A robot child has a fight with a human child, making the child cry. The humans become angry when they hear this, and a war breaks out between humans and robots. 91 Galeom From Galaxy G Episode 9124th October 1964 Garon, the robot Astro sent back to space, comes back. Seeing Astro struggle hard to fend off Garon, the Earth Robot Army stands together to attack Garon. 92 The Three Robotiers Episode 9231st October 1964 In order to save patients suffering from space disease on Mars, a serum is sent to Mars from Earth. All the transport ships carrying the serum, however, get destroyed on their way. Astro, together with the three robot knights, goes into space to protect the last of the serum. 93 Brother Jetto Episode 937th November 1964 Cobalt (Jetto), a defective prototype of Astro built by Dr. Tenma, is released from storage and becomes Astro's older brother. 94 Angel of the Alps Episode 9414th November 1964 The construction of a dam near the Bering Strait is hampered by difficulties. Dr. Zeman's research is required to solve the problem. Astro goes to ask for help from the doctor who lives a secluded life in the depth of the Alps because of his hatred for civilization. Astro, however, finds the doctor being attacked by another robot that is after the research material. 95 Magic Punch Card Episode 9521st November 1964 A missile base is completely controlled by a computer. Now, the computer is out of control, setting the stage for nuclear attack. In fact, this is a means of personal revenge by Dr. Yakoref, who lost the competition for the design of the base. Astro starts to disassemble the computer. 96 The Great Rocket Robbery Episode 9628th November 1964 Dr. Akuta, who is after the gold ingot on Mars, controls a robot called Future. The robot, however, becomes humble after hearing out Astro. Then Astro and Future pursue the doctor, who has run away with the gold ingot. 97 Contest in Space Episode 975th December 1964 Planet Hyper is the most civilized planet in the galactic system. It chooses a pair of a human and a robot each from both the Earth and Planet War to have them fight against each other, and will destroy the loser's planet. Astro and Ponkotsu Tetsu, the safebreaker, are chosen to represent the Earth. 98 Gift of Zeo Episode 9812th December 1964 A big robot is excavated from the construction site of a tunnel. It turns out to be a time capsule that was created to pass down information on a super ancient civilization of a million years ago to posterity. 99 A Deep Deep Secret Episode 9919th December 1964 Colon-bu-bu, the explorer of the underground state of Chombo, heads for the ground hoping to see a new world. Then he meets Cobalt and takes him underground as prisoner. 100 The Wonderful Christmas Present Episode 10026th December 1964 On Christmas night, Dr. Ochanomizu opens the will of his scientist friend who died 10 years before. It says that he has left an invention in Bururu Mountain. Astro and his friends happen to be on the mountain and encounter a boy called Akio who lives alone there. 101 Uncharted World Episode 1012nd January 1965 The visiting Prince Dorian of the Camellia Kingdom disappears. Astro goes searching for him using the latest 4D detection device, and finds the prince wandering in another world. That world is inhabited by people who have been spirited away from various time periods. 102 Jungle Mystery Episode 1029th January 1965 Uran is going to be in a movie as Tarzan. When she goes on location to the jungle, however, a mysterious woman takes her away. The woman is planning to make Uran, who is dressed as a boy, the prince of the demon's place. 103 The Terrible Spaceman Episode 10316th January 1965 Humans are drawn toward a flight of stairs that suddenly appear one day, and they start to walk towards a spaceship hidden among the clouds. When there are no humans left on earth, the robots start to talk about taking over the planet. 104 The Devil’s Balloon Episode 10423rd January 1965 105 General Astro Episode 10530th January 1965 Astro is shot by a gun that ruins artificial intelligence. He loses all his memory, and is shot away into space. 106 The Mighty Mite From Ursa Minor Episode 1066th February 1965 Hamegg sees a UFO in the woods that seems to have made an emergency landing, and finds an alien child. He notices the child's super strength, and plans to win the child's fame as a wrestler. 107 Mystery of the Metal Men Episode 10713th February 1965 Astro is involved in an explosion during the construction of a dam. The impact sends him into a parallel world where Tobio, the son of Dr. Tenma, never died in an accident. In other words, it is a world where Astro has not been born. 108 Super Human Beings Episode 10820th February 1965 Three scientists gain supernatural power on the surface of the moon. Then Dr. Arden, who has a grudge against Dr. Ochanomizu, stages an attack against him. In order to protect Dr. Ochanomizu, Astro fights fiercely against the scientists who have supernatural power. 109 Phoenix Bird Episode 10927th February 1965 Astro finds a big egg in a cave. He asks Dr. Ochanomizu to identify the egg, but they are unsuccessful. So Astro goes back to the island, where he encounters a strange bird that lives there. 110 Menace from Mercury Episode 1106th March 1965 Astro is investigating a super thermal bomb that has fallen on earth. Then he heads for Mercury to find its launching site. Astro and Dr. Ochanomizu visit the country to find out what is behind this dictatorial policy. 114 Metro Monster Episode 11410th April 1965 115 The Big Runaway Safe Episode 11517th April 1965 116 The Greatest Robot on Earth (part one) Episode 11624th April 1965 A robot, Pluto is built to kill the 7 strongest robots in the world, therefore making him the world's most powerful robot. 117 The Greatest Robot on Earth (part two) Episode 1171st May 1965 Pluto succeeds in disposing of Montblanc, North #2, Brando, Gesicht, Hercules, and Photar with ease, leaving Astro as his sole remaining target. After meeting Astro, he begins to question his actions. 118 Robot Grabby Episode 1188th May 1965 119 Planet 13 Episode 11915th May 1965 Planet M, shaped like a convex lens, is approaching the Earth. It reflects solar light toward the Earth, turning its surface into hell.
