Director Martin Scorsese enlists the help of Dylan himself, Joan Baez , film-maker DA Pennebaker , Greenwich Village folk icon Dave Von Ronk , and beat poet Allen Ginsberg , for an emotional, musical and intellectual journey through the singer/songwriter's early career, up to the controversial 1966 tour of the British Isles.
