While the audience thinks it is method acting, they soon realize that he has actually been injured. Zenia, the actress in lead role gets arrested for the murder as she was the only person on stage with Manas.

While K.D Phatak is at a newsstand buying a newspaper, a strange thing happens to him. He meets a man named Jayant Kirani and starts talking to him about a certain case. Jayant says that a person has murdered the previous night and his wife, Shivani is seen as a major suspect and is arrested. Before going back, he mentions that the person who was murdered was himself. The newspaper seller calls out the K.D. Phatak asking who he was talking to as there was no one around them. The same incident happens that night with K.D as Jayant provides K.D with a clue.
